EPL 3327, 3328 – 1416 km2

Both of the licenses are located in the Uis area about 150km northeast of Swakopmund offer good prospects for both secondary and primary occurrences.

The local geology consists of Damara aged schists and granites which have been sporadically calcretised suggesting potential calcretised palaeodrainage within the extensive alluvial areas nearby.

Uis_secondary_U_300px.jpgLittle information on previous exploration exists but airborne radiometric data indicates two significant areas of uranium surface enrichment, in the order of 200-300 ppm U3O8.

The presence of uranium mineralization and channelisation on EPL 3327 has been confirmed but at this early stage of exploration, the size potential of the palaeochannels appears constrained; however it is noted that the substantial uranium endowment of Langer Heinrich is hosted by a remarkably small channel, and this channel was revealed to explorers only because the overburden had been locally stripped.

This is not the case on EPL 3328, as there are no exhumed calcretes.

Future work should target a small amount of RC drilling on the known Area 1 channels and Karlowa pegmatite, testing for unexposed mineralization. Success in this work would see the scope of work expand considerably.
